What are patials?

A removable partial denture is a prosthesis which replaces teeth while utilizing the existing teeth for retention and support. A partial can replace one tooth or many teeth as long as there is an adequate number and distribution of remaining healthy teeth.

What are dentures?

A complete denture is a prosthesis which replaces all of the teeth in a dental arch (ie. upper jaw, lower jaw). In the upper jaw, the denture covers the roof of the mouth which allows it to achieve suction. In the lower jaw, the denture is horse-shoe-shaped. Dental implants can be added underneath the denture to create a snap-on denture or a fixed bridge.

What if I have teeth that need to be removed?

Dentures can be made for someone with teeth that must be extracted. These are considered immediate dentures and are much more difficult to fabricate than conventional dentures. Because of this, there is a higher cost and longer treatment time. However, when the teeth are removed, the immediate denture can be placed at the same time so that you do not have to go without teeth.

Can you repair my partial / denture that is broken?
